Talbot Cox was a successful banker before embracing art as a profession upon his retirement in 1999. He established himself as a portrait and fine-art artist and has had many demonstrations and exhibitions. He is a classically trained musician and enjoys sailing and philately, golfing, traveling and watching sports. Cox is also author of 'Senior Moments', 'Charcoal Portraits from Photographs' and other publications. He and his wife, Elyse, live in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, with two dogs, a cat and a multitude of birds. They have four children and five grandchildren.
